Vocal quartet: sacred meditation + a summer’s day
Corvus Consort performs an intimate quartet programme at “the cathedral of the moor”, in a beautiful setting on the edge of Dartmoor.
The first half of the concert is subtitled “sacred meditation” and will feature a selection of meditative church music, ranging from medieval plainchant and renaissance polyphony to devotional works by living composers. The second half brings us into touch with the seasons by celebrating “a summer’s day”, culminating in Benjamin Britten’s magnificent Five Flower Songs.
