Sacred meditation & a summer’s day
Corvus Consort returns to perform for the St Boniface Concert Society in Crediton, Devon, where we gave one of our first ever concerts.
The first half of the concert is subtitled “sacred meditation” and will feature a selection of meditative church music, ranging from medieval plainchant and renaissance polyphony to devotional works by living composers. The second half brings us into touch with the seasons by celebrating “a summer’s day”, culminating in Britten’s magnificent Five Flower Songs.
